Hot Topic dans le Monde Hip Hop USA
PAP/HAITi -- Tous les grands médias des USA ont les yeux fixés sur le Hip Hop, surtout après les problèmes de Don Imus pour un commentaire sexiste sur les athlètes américaines.
Le Hip Hop hait-il les femmes? Ou en créole : "Èske Hip-Hop la rayi fanm?" C'est le grand débat aujourd'hui aux USA, notamment dans le monde du Hip Hop. En effet, une conférence sur le sujet a été organisé à l'Université de Chicago ou plus de 400 personnes ont fait le déplacement pour discuter de cette question qui est la face visible d'un problème social américain.
Dans une tentative de réponse, le grand producteur Russell Simmons, voyant venir le déluge a essayé de prendre des mesures en lançant un appel au bannissement des termes comme "Bitch", "Ho", et "Nigger" qui seront considérés comme inacceptables dans les versions publiques (radio, disco etc.)
Ce problème existe réellement car les rappeurs américains n'ont fait preuve d'aucun respect pour la femme et leurs chansons sont truffées de termes négatifs et avilissants pour le genre féminin.
Ce débat est aussi important pour le rap créole car dans notre milieu aussi nous trouvons des rappeurs sexistes par mauvaise éducation ou par mimétisme qui veulent faire comme les rappeurs américains. Nous leur disons "Halte-la" car leurs chansons seront bannies des stations de radio.

La Police continue de persécuter les rappeurs
PAP/HAITI -- Selon Dead KG, chanteur du groupe "
Moun Fou Lokal", deux rappeurs du groupe auraient été interpellé par la police au moment ou il s'apprétaient à venir performer au Festival Hip-Raptik. En effet, Big Boss Blade et Fleva aurait été retenu dans la zone de Martissant pour une interrogation, mais ont été relaché quelques instants plus tard. Ce contretemps a été la cause de l'absence du groupe sur scène. L'incident s'est terminé sans trop de dégat.
Ce nouveau groupe vient d'intégrer Bad Crazy T, qui a disparut de la scène du rap depuis environ trois ans. L'ancien chanteur de Shaka Dreams rejoint Dead KG, Big Boss Blade et Fleva au sein de "Moun Fou Lokal". Suite à leur "track" de Carnaval 2007, les fous "loco" sont en studio pour un single qu'ils vont videoclipé pour exploser la scène du rap durant l'été.

Magic Clic se lance dans la production
PAP/HAITI -- Le clan Magic Clic qui n'a pas fait trop parlé de lui depuis le départ de Me-Stair pour le Mexique où celui-ci a bénéficié d'une bourse d'étude à l'université UNAM, serait sur le point de se lancer dans la production musicale en compagnie de Mmix. C'est ce que nous a révélé F-ner, un membre influent de Magic Clic qui prépare un album solo sous la direction de Fred Hype.
Interrogé sur l'avenir du projet F&Me-Stair, il nous a fait savoir que ce projet est encore vivant, mais retardé à cause de l'absence de Me-Stair. Mais certains arrangements sont à l'étude pour une réalisation à distance.

Zafè Fanmi : Un nouveau regroupement de groupes
PAP/HAITI -- Un nouveau regroupement de groupes de Bas-Peu-de-Chose et Morne à Tuff vient de prendre naissance sous le nom de Zafè Fanmi. Il comprend Barikad Crew, Pick-up Clic, 2Kondane, Magic Clic, Bivil, Refugee lokal, Yakusa, Jimmy O.
Suite à la prestation de ses groupes à la Place Carl Brouard, ils comptent se réunir pour réaliser ensemble une chanson.

Get low : le nouveau single de 2Kondane
PAP/HAITI -- Le groupe 2 kondane (Fredi et Killaweck) vient de sortir "Get Low" un nouveau single, avec la collaboration de Full Blast. Produit par Max ce single fait suite à "Banm yon ti limyè" qui figurera surement sur leur prochain album.

Bad : animateur de radio et rappeur
PAP/HAITI -- Bad, de son vrai nom Wesley est un animateur de radio et un rappeur qui travaille très fort dans la promotion du rap créole en Haïti. Il a commencé comme animateur à Radio Paradis au Cap-Haïtien, et anime depuis deux ans l'émission quotidienne "Music Connections" sur Radio Endijèn de 7h à 8h PM en compagnie de Dj Master Sound.
Il évolue avec un groupe du nom de Exhibition, mais compte publier prochainement un album solo avec des titres comme "Number One nèg Okap", "Mande pou mwen" qu'il a interprèté en duo avec Money Honey Mike (ORS, Live Jam) avant le départ de celui-ci vers les Etats-Unis.

Nou resevwa enfòmasyon sou gwoup Family Senci k'ap viv nan Chicago men ki gen reprezantan nan Ayiti ak nan lòt vil ozetazini.We in Family Senci are gangsta rappers, hardcore, crunk, we mostly beef on our tracks because it's all about Creole Hip-Hop, we're all gangstaz, no lie about that. We are a group of 6 members from the hood of Haiti. Check us out.
We are involved in the HipHop Industry, rapping, performing hardcore musics to the Haitian Community with original/licensed beats and lyricks within the States allowed. This is what we do for a living and we make sure that our style, songs and ideas don't anybody else profiles. We rap in Creole, French, English and Patois most definitely, so call the whole process RAP CREOLE, a new division or a branch of HipHop.
Based on our differences and mixtures, we can not say we're strickly HipHop, but We represent Rap Creole, a new industry that was underground for more than a decade created by late Master Dji from Haiti Rap-N-Ragga, and that's about to blow out into a new crunky level.
The whole group knows each other since day one, I mean, since we were kids, we grew up in the same block as family, most of us went to the same school, graduated, and we got good sencimiliar in da hood. Some of us went out of Country for School and personal reason and meet later one to follow the path.
FAMILY SENCI was underground for more than 13 years, couldn't come out because of the Country situations, cival war and stuff. But, we worked around the studio for about 5 years on a fulltime basis, we dropped our demo in 2004, went top in the chart in all radio, we're in the process of dropping our Grand premier this year and release our first album worldwide.
In Haiti, we're hardcore when it comes to HipHop, we mostly listen to 2Pac, DMX, BustaBust, Lil'Jone, Ruff Ryders, Terror Squad and a whole lot more. We love DanceHall/Reggae, Latino Music mostly Zouk, and any styles that make sense to us. But we play Kompa (Compas), RaRa, Voodoo, Bann, Ragganaval, Kompanaval, Rap Creole, Seranad, Troubadou, Chansonnette, those styles are strickly copywritted haitian styles.
We use DJ accessories, we keep it simple, we don't like overheads, or we use requested equipments from the promoter if paid for it. FAMILY SENCI is a gangsta reunion, joined by many clicks, many G. and collaborate with many MCs. We're all FAMILY and love that SENCI.
Big ups to C-Project, B-Rude, P-Rat, Squaddy, Traka, Mad-Ass and everybody in Kafoufey (Carrefour-Feuilles), all my Haitian Massive in Chi-Town, Little Haiti, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Boston, ATL, and in the Motherland. F-S gotch'all the way. no doubt!

Men sa DJ Mingolove di nou : Je suis un animateur de radio, avec environ 12-13 années de carrière. Je suis aussi un ardent défenseur du rap Créole et le #1 des supporteurs de ce style musical. Et c'est la raison pour laquelle je vous écris aujourd'hui.
Je vis a Miami depuis plus de 7 ans et pendant mes 5 premières années aux USA, j'ai fait de mon mieux pour tenir vivant le mouvement, disons la musique RAP KREYOL.
De 2000 à 2004, j'avais l'habitude de présenter une emission de rap créole à la radio deux fois par semaine. Il y a deux ans environ depuis que la station de radio dans est fermée.
Malgré tout, je reste un défenseur du mouvement et je suis vraiment ravi de voir que vous faites le même travail.
Le mouvement a besoin de jeunes comme vous. J'ai souvent répété que c'est pas les fans, les supporteurs et les volontaires qui font defaut au mouvement, c'est plutot le besoin de se regrouper et de se faire connaitre les uns aux autres et de travailler ensemble en tant que gens qui aiment le rap créole, des gens qui veulent voir fleurir le rêve de Master Dji.
Apparemment, chacun fait p'tit travail pour promouvoir le mouvement, mais au fond nous sommes eparpillés un peu partout dans le monde et nous ne sommes pas en contact les uns avec les autres puisque nous ne sommes pas au courant du travail ou de la promotion faite par chacun dans la ville ou le pays, là ou il vit.
je me demande s'il y a un moyen de rentrer en contact avec certains des rappeurs qui vivent en Haiti..., soit par téléphone ou par e-mail.
J'aurais bien aimé parler avec Eliacim, Top Tchoukko, Easy One, Money Mike, Elylrac... parce que j'ai un groupe sur hi5 dédié au mouvement RAP KREYOL (KREYOL HIP HOP) et également J'ai ouvert un compte d'artiste afin de mettre des chansons de Rap Kreyol sur hi5 pour que le gens qui le visitent puissent écouter.

Sky'z Da Limit : Press conference in Port-au-Prince for their album "AfrikAyiti"

From the Press Release:The Creole Hip Hop movement has made a lot of strides up to this point but for many in the industry Sky'z Da limit latest album, "AfrikAyiti", is the blueprint of the industry. The group is based in South Florida and they have an irascible disposition against anything that looks/seems wrong so on this album the boys pour out their soul as they tackle many topics such as life, love, the mediocrity in their beloved country, the state of the movement itself, amongst many other things.
With guest appearances by Gazzmann Couleur, Sista flo, Masters of Haiti, and RockFam, there is something on this album for everyone, even the Konpa lovers. Never slacking on the flows, the title track "AfrikAyiti" which sets up the platform for the album, Oz', Sly and Brasi breaks down the woes of the black society and the underlying truth of who we really are. They aimed to promote Africanism in the Haitian community; these guys are pan-Africanists and they strongly believe in keeping the African cultural retention alive. On this track they challenged the Haitian community to view themselves as Africans/African descendants and not just Haitians. The beat has a lot of African elements as they used some samples of African chants from Congo.
The group displays mind-boggling story telling capability that sucks you in displayed with the song "Pou yo" featuring Gazzmann Couleur, where they chew on the subject of the life of those who are suffering, the helpless, the neediest, the voiceless and hopeless masses, and the government neglects. The track is hot like a heating system but Gazzmann Couleur took it to another level with his delivery and outcry for the poor children as he didn't shy away from pouring himself unto the track and into the ears of the listeners.
On the track "Met men", Sky'z Da Limit provides alternatives to the many problems plaguing the country and its community here in America. The song provides a deep analysis of the contemporary condition of Haiti as they delivered their verses in perfectly syncopated rhyme while bringing their point to the masses, " pale nan bouch pap regle anyen". Rapping over a very crunck beat, they boys from the sunshine state challenge every one to do something to help Haiti and the Haitian community, "ayisyen fre'm se'm an nou pran konsyans / Apre 200 zan de soufrans ayiti an nou ba'l yon chans/ An sispann akize yon sel moun nou responsab tou / Anpil nan nou chak jou changeman, franchman/ Se sel verb nap konjige / Men le pou'n met men nou pyes pap kontribye" The movement has scored heavy with the rise of Mecca aka Grimo, Seca Konsa, and BenChoumy, but they alone cannot carry the torch.

Place Carl Brouard a accueilli Festi Rap créole Bas-peu-de-Chose
PAP/HAITI -- Ce mini festival Rap créole fut organisé par Zafè Fanmi avec les groupes Magik Clic, Barikad Crew, Yakusa, Jimmy O, Gwòt Skwad (Top Tchouko - Gouvènay), 33rd Side, Pick-up Clik. L'animation était assurée par Zoe Nas et Zoe Boy en plus des Dj Valmix, Mmix et Sound Design.
Le public était en délire quand K-tafal a fait son entrée en scène avec des menottes aux poignets.

K-tafal demande que cesse les persécutions policières
PAP/HAITI -- Le leader du groupe Barikad Crew, la meilleure formation musicale de l'année 2006, toutes tendances confondues, nous informe des persécutions qu'il subit de la part de certains policiers, depuis que des membres du groupe furent arrétés durant le tournage d'un videoclip, pour s'être opposés à une arrestation brutale qui se produisait dans la zone du tournage, l'ave Nicolas, base du groupe.
