Reprise des sessions de Rapforum
PAP\HAITI -- Les sessions de Rapforum reprennent pour cette saison dès ce vendredi 22 février dans les locaux de l'institution sis au 45 de l'ave Magloire Ambroise, dès 4hPM. En effet, suite au grand succès du Rap créole au Carnaval 2008, Mawon Makandal invite toute la communauté pour venir partager leurs idées sur l'avenir du mouvement en Haiti. New internet radio station to boost the Kreole Hip Hop Movement

Broward County, Florida--- A new 24 hour Internet radio station, Everything Kreyol Hip Hop Radio, has been launched by Prodg Promotions and Shakaitutu LLC. The intention for this radio station is to provide a platform for all Kreyol Hip Hop artists to present their craft to the world. Shows are distributed online via Ubroadcast.com which allows listeners, from any part of the world, to tune in any time of day, and listen to the very Kreyol Hip Hop has to offer.
"We created Everything Kreyol Hip Hop Radio because traditional radio just doesn't serve the community the way that it could", said Blake Seide, the President and CEO of Prodg Promotions. "Our focus is on producing shows that add real value and better lifestyle opportunity for our listening community, and makes it convenient for them to get it, and we think we're doing that", Blake added.
Apparently, Blake is not the only one who thinks the Kreyol Hip Hop Radio concept is an idea whose time has come. Multi-faceted marketing organization Shakaitutu LLC has partnered with Prodg Promotions and has committed time and money to promote the station as it gets off the ground. "When I was introduced to Everything Kreyol Hip Hop Radio I couldn't contain myself". "This project is exactly the kind of alliance Shakaitutu was looking for", said Michelot Beauvais. "It's the perfect vehicle for achieving our mission which is making a better world", added Beauvais.
"Ultimately, our goal is not to have listeners, but rather community members who come together around quality programming that meets their needs", said Blake. By partnering with Shakaitutu, we know we have the right team to make a better world reality", added Blake.
Everything Kreyol Hip Hop radio broadcasts 24 hours a day with a fun, high-energy sound. Since we are not controlled by a larger corporate entity and our coverage area is global, we are not bound by the normal rules of big corporate radio. Therefore, we can and do play a very diverse range of Kreyol Hip Hop songs, and we are not bound by the constraints of "payola" and other corporate radio business practices. We are proud that all the DJ's who contribute to this station have a general knowledge about music and their personal styles help keep the song rotation fresh and contribute to a constantly evolving sound that is keyed into the audience.
It is our vision to share this incredible genre of music to an emerging generation from the America's to Europe, Africa and the Caribbean. Le rap créole est la révélation du Carnaval 2008
PAP\HAITI -- Le grand jour était enfin arrivé pour tous les fans du Rap créole. Il était confirmé que Barikad Crew serait du cortège mais non sans quelques inquiétudes car les problèmes financiers n'étaient pas tout a fait réglés.
En effet, le premier jour du Carnaval, les fans commençaient réellement à s'inquiéter car le défilé allait bon train et il n'y a pas toujours trace de Barikad Crew à l'horizon, ni au Stade Sylvio Cator, le lieu de départ du cortège. Ce n'est qu'à 1h30 du matin, alors que le dernier groupe sur le parcours qui était Djakout mizik allait aborder la rue des Casernes que l'on a vu apparaitre dans la zone du Portail Léogane, le char de Barikad Crew qui avançait au pas de course pour rejoindre la queue du cortège, sous la protection du coordonateur du Carnaval qui a demandé l'intervention des agents de la logistique pour intégrer Barikad dans le défilé car Djakout mizik expérimentait une panne de génératrice chronique depuis son départ.
De justesse, Barikad est entré dans le cortège mais n'a pas pu faire tout le parcours car arrivé au niveau du MUPANAH, tout fut interrompu à cause de l'horaire qui stipulait 4h du matin. Barikad a remercié tous les fans venus l'accompagner et a promis de tout reprendre le lendemain, ce qui fut fait avec beaucoup de brio. Fred Hype a rodé le son, Tonti de Clairin Lakay était là, prodiguant ses encouragements comme sponsor officiel du groupe, Garry Chang était aussi à bord. Une soirée magnifique qui a convaincu tout le monde. Le Maire de Port-au-Prince, Muscadin Jean Yves Jason a salué la haute performance du groupe à partir de la tribune de la Mairie au moment ou il recevait les salutations.
Le troisième jour était électrique, le groupe venait d'installer sur le char, un jeu de lumière tout neuf offert par RAPFORUM. Un autre parcours sans faute qui a fait les délices de tous les fans et non fans. Le Rap créole venait de gagner ses gallons de participants majeurs. Une révélation pour le Carnaval 2008 : Rale Mennen vini pou yon Ayiti vèt! Barikaf a même joué sa chanson : Pa koupe pye bwa pou montrer qu'il était très conscient des problèmes environnementaux du pays.
