Profil : Doctor Zoe
From Kafou inc.Doctor Zoe is formally known as Sitny Dorcely. Born in Port-de-Paix, Haiti, Mr. Dorcely's experience in life would later play a powerful role in his style of music. At the age of 16 years old, Sitny moved to Miami, Florida with his family, ready to embark on a new life, in a new world. Sitny's arrival to America, however, did not become as appealing as he may have dreamt and as appose to living the American dream, he became an uninvited immigrant to many of his peers.
Sitny attended Miami Edison High School located in Little Haiti for approximately a year but because the violence was so bad against young Haitians during this period, his parents decided to transfer Sitny to North Miami High School were education was the focus and not ones nationality.
Outside of the chaotic school environment there was much to get involved with in America and Sitny choose Hip Hop. Hip Hop was huge in the early 90's and this was the ideal way to decipher American thinking. Sitny traveled to parties with his first cousin's who were DJ's at the time. This exposure to Hip Hop with music from groups such as NWA, Public Enemy, Special ED, KRS ONE, DOC, and countless records that spun at each party, gave birth to a new life for Mr. Dorcely. It became very clear why school was not important and why glamour and fame was. It was simply the American Dream. Time began to expire in the adolescent years of Mr. Dorcely and in came reality. The more Sitny worked, whether it was the meat market, at a photo studio or even Mc Donald's, it didn't add up.
Money on the short end of the stick seemed to appear in every part of Miami, at least every part of Miami where blacks lived. There was the option of working and getting no where, or there was the option of getting somewhere in life the best way one knew how to. Sitny chose the latter and in a blink of an eye, Mr. Dorcely was known as Zoe.
