International -- Le chanteur de pop-music Michael Jackson est mort, a annoncé jeudi le Los Angeles Times, citant des sources municipales et policières. "La mort de Michael Jackson a été proclamée par des médecins cette après-midi après être arrivé à l'hôpital dans un coma profond, ont dit au Times des sources municipales et policières", rapporte le journal.
"Michael Jackson a été victime d'une crise cardiaque dans l'après-midi et les personnels de secours n'ont pas réussi à le réanimer. On nous a dit que quand les équipes de secours sont arrivées, le coeur de Michael Jackson ne battait plus et ils n'ont jamais réussi à le faire redémarrer", a précisé le site TMZ.
Michael Joseph Jackson (29 août 1958 à Gary (Indiana) - 25 juin 2009 à Los Angeles (Californie)) est un auteur-compositeur-interprète, danseur-chorégraphe, poète[2] et homme d'affaires américain. Septième d'une famille de neuf enfants, il a commencé sa carrière à l'age de onze ans au sein des Jackson Five puis a commencé sa carrière solo en 1971 tout en restant membre du groupe. Surnommé par la suite « The King of Pop »[3],[4](en français « Le Roi de la pop »), il a sorti cinq albums studio figurant parmi les plus vendus au monde : Off the Wall (1979), Thriller (1982), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991) et HIStory (1995).

15 juin 2008 - 15 juin 2009 : Un an de réflexion et de tristesse
L'histoire du Rap créole est marquée à jamais par le sang indélébile des membres et amis de Barikad Crew disparus il y a un an de cela, le 15 juin 2008 sur la route menant à l'aéroport Toussaint Louverture. Les larmes de toute la République n'ont pas pu effacer cette marque qui entache désormais la Culture haïtienne.
En effet, la disparition de K-tafalk, DejaVoo, Dade, Nathalia, Djoe et Guichard a révélé à toute la société haïtienne le profond attachement des jeunes du pays pour le Rap créole, tout en attirant l'attention sur la fragilité de la vie. Aujourd'hui, un an après ce drame la plaie n'est pas tout à fait cicatriisée et la perte se ressent avec la même acuité.
Du coté du groupe Barikad Crew, plusieurs activités ont été mise sur pied pour marquer la date. Le Festival de musique haïtienne de Montréal accueillera Barikad Crew
Selon la Presse canadienne, l'édition 2009 du Festival international de musique haïtienne de Montréal, présenté du 8 au 12 juillet, mettra en scène le groupe hip hop Barikad Crew qui chauffera la foule avant la venue d'Emeline Michel. Plusieurs autres artistes originaires d'Haiti sont aussi invités comme Djakout Mizik. The whole point of G'n'B was to get together and see what we could do, we knew we all had specific talents and the band merged them together to see what we conceive... and it was funky!!! All it really was and is are pace-making/funk bass and foot-stoomping/catchy drums with rusty/engaging v-chords as well as tittlating keyboard/piano acompanied by mellow v-cords. what a wholesome-ass recipe although still very "art-ificial".
